WSF Extends Youth Ticket Validity to Six Hours

Washington State Ferries recently shared an important update regarding youth ticket validity for passengers traveling on the Bainbridge and Bremerton ferry routes. Specifically, youth tickets are now valid for a generous six hours, a significant increase from the previous two-hour validity period. This thoughtful change aims to provide passengers aged 18 and younger with much-needed additional flexibility, particularly beneficial when they are traveling to major events in bustling downtown Seattle.

To help everyone avoid potentially long lines at the busy ticket booths at Colman Dock, WSF strongly encourages all riders without a vehicle to purchase their return tickets well in advance. Alternatively, passengers can conveniently use a Youth ORCA card to effortlessly skip the post-event rush and long queues. This newly extended validity period ensures that youth can confidently buy their return ticket ahead of time and still have ample time to enjoy their event before their return journey.
