Thiel Leads Design Review Board Actions

The Design Review Board met on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the City Hall Council Conference Room on 280 Madison Ave N. Chair Todd Thiel presided, joined by Council member Jon Quitslund. Senior Planner Jennifer Sutton and Administrative Specialist Megan McKenzie represented City staff.

The Board unanimously approved its agenda and the minutes from the June 2, 2025, regular meeting. No public comment was received.

Under "Good of the Order," the Board discussed the potential for projects with minimal design elements to require Design Review Board consideration, but took no action. A discussion regarding potentially revising the sequencing and timeline of the Design Review Board's role in the Land Use Review Process (item 5.A) was deferred to a future meeting. Updates to the Design Review Board Member Resource Manual were distributed for information only.

Chair Todd Thiel adjourned the meeting at 2:45 PM. The next Design Review Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2026.
