Sakai PTO, Pena Anesthesia Donate to BISD Schools

The Bainbridge Island School District board discussed 2026 Capital Bond and Levy Planning at its Thursday, October 8 meeting. Dane Fenwick, Director of Facilities, Operations, and Capital Projects, presented potential bond or levy scenarios and ballot measures, following the Long-Range Facilities Plan adopted July 25, 2024. The board also approved donations including $4,478.25 from the Sakai PTO to Sakai Intermediate School, $1,000.00 from Pena Anesthesia Services for the BHS weight room, and $6,740.26 from the Blakely PTO to Blakely Elementary School. Additionally, the board approved Policy 6100 Revenues from Local, State, and Federal Sources, updated by CFO Kim Knight for gender neutrality and to replace an outdated acronym.
