Ronald Boy Presents Five Policies for Second Reading

Associate Superintendent Ronald Boy presented five policies for second reading to the Bainbridge Island School District board on Thursday, September 10. Key among these were Policy 5254 Staff Expression, on employee speech, and Policy 5280 Separation from Employment, revised per House Bill 2264 on unemployment benefits. The memo for Policy 5254 noted, "our surrounding community may understandably struggle to separate a staff member's role within the school district from an employee's private speech." The board also reviewed a donation of $11,134.28 to Bainbridge High School Volleyball from BHS Volleyball Boosters for a California trip.
