Planning Commission Rejects Housing Priority

The Planning Commission unanimously voted Thursday, September 24, against prioritizing the "starting work on Suzuki and Senior Center affordable housing projects or any other public partnerships." for its 2027-2028 Work Plan and moved to ask the City Council for guidance on these projects (via CivicClerk).

On Tuesday, September 22, the City Council presented a proclamation for Filipino American History Month, authorized a $284,000 change order for the 2026 Annual Roads Project, and considered a $2,000,000 state grant application for the 625 Winslow Way Project. A public hearing on the 2027 property tax levy, Ordinance No. 2026-13, was set for October 13, 2026 (all Council actions via bainbridgeislandwa.portal.civicclerk.com).
