Mary Meier Hails New Lost Valley Trail Opening

The Lost Valley Trail opens October 1, 2026, completing the final link in the island's longest cross-island trail route. The City of Bainbridge Island, the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation, and BIMPRD will host a ribbon-cutting at 2 p.m. at the Head of the Bay (Wyatt Way/Eagle Harbor Drive) trailhead. The mile-long trail connects the Head of the Bay with Fletcher Bay Road. Mary Meier, Executive Director of the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation, said, This is a landmark moment for our island trail network. Lost Valley pushes us past the 50-mile mark for public trails islandwide, an incredible mark. The Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation provided project funding.
