Knight and Thompson Present Policy Updates

At the BISD board's October 29 meeting, CFO Kim Knight presented Policy 6020 (System of Funds and Accounts) for a second reading. These updates, based on new state legislation, aim to ease budget pressures and offer financial flexibility. Superintendent Amii Thompson brought Policy 1630 (Evaluation of the Superintendent) for a first reading, stating, "I request board approval of Policy 1630 Evaluation of the Superintendent, first reading, as presented". Director of Facilities, Operations, and Capital Projects Dane Fenwick reported staff are finalizing plans for a potential bond measure.
