City Council to Discuss STR Ordinance Updates

The City Council will discuss Short-Term Rental (STR) ordinance updates at its August 18 Study Session. Since its September 2024 effective date, the City has registered 155 short-term rentals (an estimated 97% registration rate) and issued 120 STR business licenses. Only 6 STR noise and party complaints have been received, involving 3 properties. Amendments aim to clarify the STR definition, strengthen enforcement, and streamline registration, while maintaining original policy goals.
