City Council Adopts Short-Term Rental Ordinance

On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2026-03 on Short-Term Rentals, approved $86,337.46 for Wastewater Treatment Plant filters, and authorized consultant advertising for the Fletcher Bay Road Culvert Complex Project. The Council also held a public hearing on Ordinance No. 2026-14, the preliminary 2027-2028 Biennial Budget, setting a further public hearing for November 10, 2026.

Separately, on Thursday, October 22, 2026, the Planning Commission held a public hearing for Ordinance No. 2026-15, updating the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code (BIMC) for consistency with state land use laws. They also discussed Comprehensive Plan and Winslow Subarea Plan updates.
