City Council Adopts Interim Zoning, Schedules Hearing

On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2026-10, establishing interim development regulations including Mandatory Inclusionary Zoning. This secures a Housing Accountability Act compliance extension from the Department of Commerce until December 16, 2026. A public hearing is set for October 13, 2026.

Logan Maxwell was recognized for his Eagle Scout project, installing a new waterfront sign on Bjune Drive.

The council also discussed extending the Bonus Floor Area Ratio (FAR) Program until June 30, 2027.
