BISD Board Reviews 2026-2027 Budget Proposal

On Tuesday, Chief Financial Officer Kim Knight presented the Bainbridge Island School District board with the proposed 2026-2027 budget, showing revenues of $72,411,116 and expenditures of $71,993,488. The budget includes a minimum 8.5% increase for utilities, a 30% increase for electricity, and a 44% increase in insurance premiums, along with an additional NPA placement in the Special Education budget. The board also received an update on 2026 capital bond and levy planning.
