Bainbridge Booster Club Donates $38,456 to BHS Athletics

The Bainbridge Island School District board met Thursday, October 29, addressing donations and policy updates. Significant contributions included $38,456.93 from the Bainbridge Booster Club for Bainbridge High School athletics, $20,000 from Bainbridge Schools Foundation to the BHS Yes Fund, and $18,616.11 from the Sakai PTO to Sakai Intermediate School for after-school clubs, choir, and broadcast. Policy updates included a first reading of Policy 1630 (Superintendent Evaluation, requested by Supt. Amii Thompson) and a second reading of Policy 6020 (System of Funds and Accounts, presented by CFO Kim Knight). Director of Facilities Dane Fenwick also recommended approval for Change Order No. 001 for District-Wide LED Retrofits, Bid Package II.
